This book was fairly interesting, quite a few sadder parts. I'd recommend it for people who enjoy books about animals. In this book, a calico cat about to have kittens meets ranger, a hound chained up in a backyard. Ranger tells them they will be safe under the porch, as long as they stay in "the Underneath"
